The Hat, The Lie and the List by Georgie Logan would be excellent. Jessie Keane of course. Michael Connolly writes great books so I would love to see more of his work on TV. The Harry Bosch character has already done one series and I believe the second is being filmed. Haven’t seen anything new on TV from Lynda La Plante for a long time surprisingly. Shame as her programmes as usually good.
@Malcolm series @Louise too Betsy Freeman Reavley, could see Optician’s wife as a film. Frailty as a series and Beneath the watery moon as a film or series. @Tara series if she keeps up with them would be ace…actually so would @KA. Shall we have a Bloodhound TV series?
Mike please shorten my name Patricia is such a mouth full and most have shortened it now. Ok, now who could play Barnes? I have a couple in mind but let me have a think…….I can see him leaning on the bar chatting to Ron and Beth in my mind at the moment. I’ll get back to you in a bit, when I’ve narrowed it down!
That’s weird because from his first a appearance I saw Pat Roache, fits him like a glove. Trish is fine, I always sign my Amazon reviews with Tricia as it was better than my original name of verified Amazon customer…… Just coming to look for you actually…..I’ve narrowed my list down to two. A Welsh actor by the name of Tom Cullen and Santiago Cabrera, you probably have others in mind but let me know what you think! ?
Peter James, Louise Ross, Robin Roughley, Mari Hannah, @Leigh, I could go on but this would be my top 5(in no particular order because that would be a hard choice)
I saw the perfect actor for my Sam Dyke series the other night in (don’t laugh) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Sam Riley, from Leeds and the right age.
Ted Darling has his own FB group where we’re forever casting the ideal Ted and Trev. It’s a good excuse for us old cougar ladies to eye up the male totty – no offence, chaps 🙂

Yes please. D.I. Darling series.
Definitely Lincoln Rhyme by Jefferey Deaver or any Chris Carter Robert Hunter book
The Bone Collector was half decent, although I was surprised to see a black Lincoln Rhyme. The Coffin Dancer would make a good book I think.
I thought the Coffin Dancer was made into a movie ?
I’d also like to see Robert Crais’s Cole and Pike brought to life.
@Georgie
Thank you Caroline, would be fun filming it in Cyprus and a Greek island ??? xxx
I agree and I think I should tag along to um………carry your bags ? x
It’s got to be, The Devil in the Marshalsea. What a superb book. Don’t think anyone could do it justice though x

Any book of Franck Thilliez or Chris Carter
Robin Roughley’s ‘LASSER’ books. Be a great tv series, based in Wigan and filmed in Wigan!
Also Michael Kerr aka @Mike Matt Barnes books!
Ta Pat
Lol, I’ve been saying it long enough!
@Michael Thanks, Patricia. I wonder who would suit the part of Barnes. 🙂
Okay, Trish. I always see big Ron Quinn as the late wrestler and then actor Pat Roache.
That’s weird because from his first a appearance I saw Pat Roache, fits him like a glove. Trish is fine, I always sign my Amazon reviews with Tricia as it was better than my original name of verified Amazon customer……
Just coming to look for you actually…..I’ve narrowed my list down to two.
A Welsh actor by the name of Tom Cullen and Santiago Cabrera, you probably have others in mind but let me know what you think! ?
I think that they both look the part, but I see Barnes as being a little older and more craggy looking 🙂
Make-up’s a wonderful thing Mike…..it’s their mannerisms I was looking at more than their actual face ages, if that makes any sense. ?
It does, Trish. I’ve just had a picture of him in my mind since I started the series.
Got to be Chris Carter…
Peter James Roy Grace series. To name but one, but loads I’d like to see adapted for Television.
@Lesley series. Absolutely superb!
Thank you, that’s very kind. Put Stockport on the map 😉
Angela Marsons books definitely
Thank you ?
Peter James, Louise Ross, Robin Roughley, Mari Hannah, @Leigh, I could go on but this would be my top 5(in no particular order because that would be a hard choice)
Thanks for the mention Helen.
Thank you @Helen ?
Mine!
Lasser! From Robin Roughley!
Thanks Ann
The Deception Series and would love to see what #villianoftheyear the year looks like
So would I. Lol xx
@Mel‘s Justice series would make a great tv series
Totally agree!
Aww… thank you both, that would be a dream come true. Xx
leave it to me and @Tara who gets the part on Tony though?
Lol I’ll need to research that. ???
I’m in the process of cutting my leg off!!. What do you mean, you don’t want me!!!. Lol.
@David it’s the wrong leg you’re sawing off
I’m sure Mel can rewrite the change, nobody I’ll notice. !!
Good Lord, David, the lengths you guys will go to get a part amazes me. Lol xx
Don’t mention it Mel. It was my bad leg so it wasn’t much of a loss. Bit of a bugger standingggggggggg
Wesley Petersen murder mysteries by Kate Ellis
@Steven books ?
I saw the perfect actor for my Sam Dyke series the other night in (don’t laugh) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Sam Riley, from Leeds and the right age.
I liked the book of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, looking for Wuthering Heights and Vampires
@Jackie Have you seen Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer? Not bad, considering …
Ted Darling has his own FB group where we’re forever casting the ideal Ted and Trev. It’s a good excuse for us old cougar ladies to eye up the male totty – no offence, chaps 🙂
And don’t we have some fun ?
@Hilary You’re all very naughty 😉
I know it’s naughty; but it’s nice!
The Arlidge books, Peter James his books they are the once I would love to see on television
