The Hardy Boys mysteries, Goosebumps series, Encyclopedia Brown, Professor Childermass. Mostly mystery, and some horror.

Interestingly the Twilight saga really caught me and got me into reading. I read them before it because popular. Harry Potter was the next series after that

In grade school, I read a lot of books with ghost stories out of Kentucky and other folk lore. When I reached middle school, I stopped. It was my final year of college when Miss Peregrine’s and the Harry Potter series pulled me back in.

Very young were the Nancy Drew books, real classics. My dear grandmother had the whole set and we would get in one room on a rainy day and read all afternoon.
