I didn’t buy these, but it was a donated set of the Anne of Green Gables series and I work at the library they were donated at, they were waiting for me this morning in the breakroom, it’s an older set but at least they are complete and I can give away my ragged mismatched copies. Yah!! The lady who sorts through the donations will give me a book that is considered ‘damaged’ to me since she tries to sell the best looking ones off, last week I got The Fault in our Stars and it only had the dust jacket missing. This Anne set was not damaged at all but she knew I was a big fan and that I didn’t have a complete set so I got this. Cool!!
I bought The hideaway and Cumbres Borrascosas!

The latest books I bought were the second and third books in C.S. @Thuto It actually just happened to look good with the runner that happened to be on the table😍😂😂
@Siri And All The Crooked Saints just happened to land in a rose bush 😂
@Thuto No. There happened to be roses—and so naturally that book just HAD to have its picture taken with them! It would’ve been a crime not to!😂❤️❤️❤️

murder on Christmas eve. trying to limit my book buying til i’ve reduced some of my tbr pile. tbh its not gonna work, there’s too many books I wanna read
I keep telling myself not to buy anymore until I read at least some of the ones I already have that I haven’t touched yet… I’m not having much success with that. Is books anonymous a thing? Cuz I think I need it lol.
Waiting for the rest to come in. Hopefully today!
A couple of anthologies, one focused on gargoyles and one focused on “adventures in space”, and the first two books in Robert Jordan’s “Wheel of Time” decology….cause it’s long past time to re-read (and finally finish) that series!!
There was just a sale at our little local library…in the course of three days, I spent close to $20 and got close to 100 books. (Probably 60 were little kid books….as I have little kids.)
The Shadow Land by Elizabeth Kostova, The Witches of New York by Ami McKay and Naturväsen by Johan Egerkrans 😊
Member of the Family, the Silent Companion, Sarum, Ramses the Damned and the Last Days of Magic.
Oops! That was supposed to be a reply to your comment!
I loved “Ramses the Damned”! You are talking about the one by Anne Rice?
This is a sequel to the Mummy by Anne Rice. It’s brand new.
@Jessica, yes, it is a sequel to “The Mummy”, but no, it’s not new, I read it years ago! Maybe it’s a re-release?
No its not a re release. She just wrote it with her son Christopher.
The first one is the original which is an awesome book.
Sorry, @Jessica, my replies ended up in the main thread!
@Jessica, sorry again…. sorry it took me so long to realize that this is exactly what you were saying! 🤨
You’re fine. Haven’t started it yet. Kinda worried since it’s Co authored. I’m such a huge fan of her work and this book in particular. So I’m worried about reading it and hating it. Lol but I will eventually.
Revan by Drew Karpyshyn
Huh….that has a sub-title, though: “The Passion of Cleopatra”, I don’t remember that from the book I read. And the one I read was by her alone, not with her son. Maybe it’s the development of an event or character from the original story? Is there any mention of an original “Ramses the Damned” from which this might have sprung? Maybe o
Oops, wrong button! I was going to say, maybe in the foreword, or author’s notes?
Aha! Turns out “Ramses the Damned” was not a sequel to “The Mummy”, it was the sub-title of “The Mummy” which came out in ’89, and the new one you got is, apparently, the sequel to it! This is one of my favorite websites: https://www.fantasticfiction.com/r/anne-rice/
The Amateurs Case Not Closed, The Rift Uprising, and Renegades
This is the last months purchases, minus Artemis, which I already read.

Bought a bunch of kindle books but my most recent hard copy purchase was the box set of ACOTAR.
This was my most recent bookhaul but I’m looking forward to buying more books this coming December, because Scholastic Asia is having a book buffet. 💙
None cause waiting to see if i get some for Christmas!!!
Great thinking! 😁 I tend to ask for an Amazon gift card to make sure that I get the books I want.
I still stop buying books around mid-November every year, even though all my nearest and dearest have known for years to just give me a gift certificate cause I’ve probably already read whatever they might pick out!! 😁
@Michele Thanks lol
@Cheryl Thats how i am too and i also write out a list and give it to people who i exchange gifts with so they know what books i want lol Its a 3 page list lol
