Shark attacks in Australian waters. Because it is coming up to Summer and I love researching stuff based on fact and science. I find it fascinating how unpredictable sharks can be, even in a predictable situation. Dinosaurs of the deep.

I’m reading Ready Player One at the moment.

It’s been on my tbr for a fair while, but shot to the top when I went to see IT with a friend, and we were both bouncing around on 80s hype after that. Ready Player One came up, my friend not long having listened to the audiobook.

I’m enjoying it, though it seems very…name-droppy? Like ‘look at me, I know all these 80s things!’. The trivia within is very interesting, but it’s written like a ream of information sometimes, which I’m finding a bit of a strain. The actual story, though? I’m beginning to get into the meat of that now and I’m really enjoying it ^^

I’ve just today got to…trying not to spoiler…the D&D lich. It’s reminding me a lot of the whole ‘chess match with Death’ type thing. I can’t remember where that idea originates from but I’ve seen it pop up several times before ^_^

Jack Kerouac’s On The Road, because I bought it last year and I should read it now..it’s really good, I’m trying to read my own book stash and trying real hard not to check anything out, hard because I do work at a library. The other book is I know This Much is True, a shocking begining but it’s pretty good so far, it’s been in my pile for many years (ten I think) so when I read this it’s going out. I am going to start Lost in a Book the Beauty and the Beast story. I fell in love with the cover art so really I’m keeping this book.

Going through a reread of GOT. I’m in the middle of A Clash of Kings. It was years overdue for a reread. I finished Dragonflight tonight and have moved on to Dragonquest. First time going through Pern. Lessa is amazing. F’lar too. I’m listening to Fool Moon. I just started Jim Butcher. I really have to wonder what took me so long to get to him. He’s been recommended to me for years. He’s moved to one of my favorites within 3 books. Harry is awesome and his Cinder Spires series is fantasy for cat lovers.

Almost done with Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I asked for it since the books i have been looking for is still not available. Like its so hard to find? (imma ask my relatives from US to just gift me a set of a series i wanted. Sounds selfish but they asked my mom what i liked,Lol. My mom also wanted this series soo yah?). So i decided to just buy this for now since its still Marissa Meyer and my bestfriend asked me if o had 2 books she took a pic ok the bookstore and it kept me intriguing. AND ITS A FREAKIN RETELLING OF ALICE! But like more romance and drama???.

Currently…? Oh dear, um…. ‘The handmaids tale’ – wanted to compare with what I saw on the SBS catchup, and see what the fuss is about; and the fourth Outlander book – cos I read the first three and like em 😉 ; ‘The Redemption’ – cos this is the first book in a set of three, and my mother brought over the second book when she came to visit last, saying that it was good. I noticed the first one on her bookshelf when I was over at her (interstate) place last week, and so started reading that and brought it back with me so that I could read them in order!
