Hacksaw Ridge was good, very different to the film

@Jo I’d imagine so, they’d have to change some things for theatrics and such, but I’m still excited to read about it.

@Brooke they’re both great in their own way, you get a lot of background history in the book and i always love seeing the authentic photos of the people/events involved

Carmel Geromoschos-Sheil I haven’t heard of John Irving. Is Fantastic Beasts a book? I see the adult coloring pages in your pic lol

@Bridget I’ll start with my love of John Irving… I’ve just started reading one of his newer ones… I love his older ones though.. The world according to Garp/ A prayer for Owen Meaney/ and Hotel New Hampshire are 3 of my favourites. But I’ve read all but 2/3 and own all of them!

Adding to that- he’s a bit quirky and always touches on he gritty in a powerful way.

Fantastic Beasts- well- it’s JK Rowling- A screen Play. I think it’s great. Love the movie too.

Ooh @Carmel I LOVE Cider House Rules. How is Avenue of Mysteries going?

@Stephanie ahhhhh… you know I debated putting Cider House in my list… I think the movie changed it for me…. an adaptation I liked and yet didn’t…

I’ve been so tired since I started reading it I think I’ve read 4/5 pages only and keep falling asleep!!! ?Don’t think it’s the books fault!!!
