@Katherine hmmm…this is the second mention here of this Roarke…I’m intrigued ??

0
Katherine

Irish billionaire who is a computer genius and a former criminal who now helps his cop wife solve murders. This series is literally my tied-for-first-place favorite series (tied, of course, with Harry Potter).

1
Michelle

@Katherine oooooh!!!! Now I’m even more intrigued. And I loooove Harry Potter ?

0
Katherine

First one is Naked in Death. You don’t have to read them in order, but the storyline flows better if you do. It is an absolutely fantastic series.

1
Michelle

@Katherine thanx…officially on tbr list ??

0
DJ

I’m in the middle of sorting books for a Konmari life. I wont be getting rid of these or my Nora Roberts books. They definitely spark joy!

0
Katherine

@DJ I agree!! I’m collecting them (only in paperback) as I find them at library book sales. I have 32 of them, I think!

0
DJ

@Katherine I’m trying to get rid of the paperbacks and get all hardback…lol

0
Katherine

@DJ I know a lot of people who want only the hardcovers! I just like how compact the paperbacks are ?

@Dawn I second Gavin/Dazen until he decided to keep his room slave around while married to Karis. That ended it for me right there.

1
Dawn

@Beth yeah that was kinda weird but I guess because of the whole “cultural” thing in the books I took it in stride. She had a very dedicated loyalty to him.

1
Beth

@Dawn yeah I can see where it was coming from, but from Karis’s POV, she was rationalizing Gavin letting Marissa have her around still to serve him. For me, if I got married to some man and knew he was had screwed the woman in the past, and he kept her around still as a maid, I would be like, aww hell no!!!

1
Dawn

@Beth I totally get it. I thought the same but in reading fantasy and how it was all justified / played out It made more sense. Still, in our real world I totally get what you mean.

Not really from a conventional book, but from a japanese manga, but I’d say the only real fictional crush I had is Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist. Some characters are crush materials, yes, but they’re like role models to me more than anything.
