I’m reading a documentary book about my homeland. It’s from the period of World War II and after.

It’s some kind of special feeling to read about all of the places that you know from your childhood and about their history.

Love and other consolation prizes by Jamie Ford. I just started it (finished My Best Friend’s Exorcism last night), so I don’t know much about it. Just that it’s historical fiction, takes place in Seattle during the 1909 world fair. I haven’t read HF in a while, so I’m glad I’m finally getting to this one.

Christian historical fiction. And it’s wonderful! I’ve read every book by this author and this one is competing for my favorite of all time! (Her “The butterfly and the violin” is currently my favorite.)
“The castle on the rise” weaves three different story lines into a beautiful story and central to them all is…the castle of course. Hoping to finish the book today. Yet, don’t want it to end!

I’m reading China Rich Girlfriend. So far I like it a lot! It’s the second book of the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy. It’s for my bookclub, I never would have picked this up if not for them selecting it. Highly recommended! Especially if you like to laugh.

Read the first book (or watch the movie) before you pick this one up though.
