I don’t know why I love Holland so much. I don’t think he’s such a bad guy, just trapped in bad circumstances.
Me as well. I actually don’t think I ever loved him, but I did feel really bad for him. One of the most interesting characters in the series. Astrid and Athos I hated, sadistic and evil!
I liked Athos and Astrid as villains – they were very powerful, very clear cut, kinda badass, definitely one-dimensional villains though.
Athos and Astrid are close to my favorite type of villain and I wish David Bowie and Tilda Swinton could play them on screen.

I pictured Tilda the first time I read it too and yes re Bowie
I suspect the author might have pictured Tilda as well, tbh.
