“It” Heavy duty, it has everything, including children’s friendships, bullying, heart stopping moments. weird creatures……..”The Body” better known as “Stand by Me” the movie. You will find it in his short stories “Different Seasons”. “Rita Hayworth & the Shawshank Redemption”. That should keep you out of trouble for awhile.

What did you think of “The Body”? It is probably my age but it made me feel how it was to be that age again.

Bill Hodges trilogy, Insomnia, Elevation are few of the books I have read from his collection. These are not totally horror but fall under thrillers.. So try it out.

I have only read Carrie, The Long Walk, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, The Green Mile, The Stand. They are all great, but The Stand stood out for me. I actually started The Shining yesterday, I hope it’s not *too* scary lol

@Darla great book…very disappointing movie

0
Darla

@Gordon I agree. I guess it’s a really big chore to make his books translate to movies…..I personally haven’t been a really big fan of most of them. The Stand was probably the best adaptation, in my opinion.

1
Gordon

@Darla yeah, most of his movie adaptations fall well short of the books.
Some are good though.
