Water for Elephants was a quick read for me. . .loved that book, and I read it before I watched it, thank goodness!

I watched it first, and then was like, What the—!

I loved Water for Elephants – the book, not the movie. Though Christoph Waltz was brilliant as always, haha 😀

The end of the Rebel Belle series is bittersweet… (Rachel Hawkins)
Mistborn is a killer… Well, the last book. (Brandon Sanderson)
Charly by Jack Weyland (I think) is actually a book about a Mormon guy, but that left me sobbing. I don’t cry with books or movies, like at all, but I couldn’t hold it.

Is it a stand alone?

Charly is part of a duo, but you could stop after Charly if you wanted. I did.

Everything Jodi Picoult has ever written.
Charlie and Pear by Tammy Robinson if you really feel like getting your heart ripped out. I posted about how broken I was after I finished it in a fb book club and the author actually commented on it and talked with me.. She’s a sweetheart.
