Kulipari series by TJ Pryce (i think) was so fun! Here Be Monsters by Alan Snow. My son is second grade and loves the red sox so I read to him The Prince of Fenway Park. It had a lot of deeper social themes I wasn’t expecting… we loved it.

Also the Penderwicks series. It follows sisters but there are great boy characters too, and the girls personalities are also unique and really well developed. My sons both love all the books.

Also I should mention Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. My brother who’s in 4th grade is reading it and really enjoying it. If a fourth grader can read and understand it, I’m pretty sure a 5th grader can read it too.

My son is in 5th grade. I got him the Eragon series, he has FNAF books, manga, Mouseheart trilogy, and I’m working on getting him all of the Goosebumps books.

He was never really into reading, so I’m excited he’s getting into it finally!

That’s awesome! I have three brothers and two of them sort of like to read. One of them is reading my copy of Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. And the other is buddy reading Paolini’s books with my dad. My other brother is preparing for a church mission so he doesn’t have time to read sadly.

I haven’t read Mistborn yet, I found a box set of the first three for like 18 bucks though, so I was pretty excited about that. I’ve also never read the Eragon series, maybe I should buddy up with my son, since they’re so long, maybe it’ll help him get through them.
