The Cricket on the Hearth by Charles Dickens. Very few people know that Dickens wrote 5 Christmas books, “A Christmas Carol,” “The Cricket on the Hearth,” “The Chimes,” “The Battle of Life,” and “The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain.” I love Dickens and read these a lot.
If you have a twisted sense of humor and love witty sarcasm, I suggest The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson is a short, hilarious read also.
