Yessssss! Read them! Just finished the 2nd one. Although I initially planned to read a book in between, I think I’m gonna continue on to the 3rd one. You’ll get hooked after the first 50ish pages of Dragon Tattoo. I promise!
Never to go to Sweden without a tazer, some pepper spray and one of those anti rape teeth condoms…. oh and to bring my coffee and a sandwich appetite Seriously though, its a good story ?
@Micki I found the first one just about ok, and I hung in there waiting for this amazing story to be revealed but the following 2 books were painful to read, flat, dull, and I dreaded picking them up, but was determined to finish them, whilst still waiting for this fantastic story to transpire. I was annoyed I wasted my time reading them ?
@Micki I found the writing pretty bad. Character development was slow and the plot arc is not typical. I just felt it was a slow burn and poorly constructed.
Once I got used to the names and references it was so much easier. In the beginning I wasn’t sure what the sex of the characters were. I had same issue with Kite Runner but it is one of my favorites….Read on!
Loved these, it does take a while to get into the first but stick with it,I was hooked and loved the follow up ones which wernt by Larson but he did a very good job I wouldn’t have know it wasn’t Larson lol
That’s good. I know he died after the third book was published and am concerned with others that are written by someone else. Never know how they are gonna do.
I really liked them, though they aren’t the type of thing I usually read. Very dark and disturbing-not for weak stomachs. I did think the first two were better than the last. I’m trying to remember whether the author passed away before finishing the 3rd.
I think he passed away after the third was finished so someone else has continued the story. I’ve been hesitant to start the series because I want to read the whole series and with some books being written by a different author I don’t know how that affects the story.
I really enjoyed them!
love em!
It took me at least 1/2 of the 1st book to get into them and then loved them!
❤️❤️
Only read the first one so far but I really liked it! Was surprised since it wasn’t something I would typically go for.
Really enjoyed them

great because I just bought them
Fantastic. Very well done and all were very good.
Love them!
Liked very much. It was challenging to keep the characters straight with the Nordish names!!

LOVED THEM!!!
Loved them.
Excellent reads
I really liked them
Excellent. Easy to read and keeps you hooked right from the start. Loved them.
Just finished the 5th book, great series, lisbeth is a cool character
Brilliant 🙂
Loved them. Found the first one slow to get into. But once you get past the first 150pages of background info you won’t be able to put it down. ?
loved them. First one I took 3 attempts to start it but as Jackie says it’s getting over the first 150 pages or so.
Brilliant. Tore through them and then watched the movies, which are also great. The Swedish ones, not the American one.
I’ve read the first one which I had had on my shelf for a while. I wish I’d read it sooner!!!
I absolutely loved them.
Very exciting!
A little hard to get into, hard to keep characters straight. Well worth the read, though!
Hated !
Why is that?

I loved them!! First one took about half-way, then you’re hooked 🙂
I guess I’m in the minority ? I hated the first. Could barely get through it.
What about it was difficult?
@Micki I found the writing pretty bad. Character development was slow and the plot arc is not typical. I just felt it was a slow burn and poorly constructed.
Ok.
They are slow but love them I have them all in large hardback. Nothing like holding the book!!
I found them better to listen to than read-excellent reader & easier to understand
I read them one after another and for me they were “can’t put down” reads. Loved them
Loved them all
This trilogy will tear your heart out.

Amazingly good.
Incredible… once you get to know the various characters
I like the ones he actually wrote.

I loved the books!
I enjoyed the audiobook versions!
I tried reading the first one but gave up!?
@April me too!
I loved all 3
Couldn’t understand the hype. I only read the 1st one and was bored. Took too long to get going and then no surprises!
I really liked them, though they aren’t the type of thing I usually read. Very dark and disturbing-not for weak stomachs. I did think the first two were better than the last. I’m trying to remember whether the author passed away before finishing the 3rd.

Love ’em!
Loved them x
I didn’t enjoy
Brilliant
Loved
Couldnt get into it:(
I couldn’t get into them. Tried and tried it wasn’t for me
I loved them
Loved them! Took me a while to get into them though.
I thought they were the best books I’d ever read.
I freaking love the trilogy. Did not care for the extra book, though.
Excellent but occasionally a bit gory
Really enjoyed the books. Also a fan of the films. Happy bunny all round.
1st was ok. By the end of the 2nd I thought it was exceedingly stupid.
I liked them
Couldnt stand the first one.
Not pleasant reading in places, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.
Loved them all. Even the extra one isn’t too bad.
The first one was the best, imo, but all were good and I enjoyed them
