I’m starting with The Exorcist! Then I’d like to read Frankenstein, Dracula, and a bunch of short story collections.

Starting with a reread of IT. After that I have plenty of those cheap public domain ghost & horror story collections on my Kindle.

I’ll be starting Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’ or ‘The Shining’ but I’m not sure which one. Has anyone read either of them?

Kimberlee

The Stand is one of my top 3 books of all time. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily scary in a horror sort of way, but it’s wonderful!

1
Ellen

I love both! The Stand isn’t particularly scary to me, though.

1
Janeta

Thanks guys, I’ll read The Stand first then ?

0
Sherry

The Stand is one of my favorite books and probably my favorite Stephen King novel.

I was born and raised in Vegas. It was crazy this morning making sure my 300+ friends back home were ok. Thank the Lord they all were.

I don’t handle horror well. I’m thinking of rereading Anne Bishop’s ‘The Others’ series.

I just finished Ashley Bell by Dean Koontz. Not exactly horror, but definitely spooky. I still can’t read Pet Semetary if I’m home alone.

How was Ashley Bell? It’s been in my TBR pile for awhile now.

It was really good. I generally like Koontz except for the Odd Thomas series…just couldn’t get into them. The Good Husband was a good one also.

I think I am going to try to read IT. The movie scared the hell out of me. I’m sure the book will send me to therapy.
