The hunger games has a love triangle but also doesn’t focus on it too much
Read them… Loved them… Looking for a different read… ?
@Nicola ah okay. I can’t really think of any others other than the infernal devices by Cassandra Clare
I don’t like her… Mortal Instruments was enough for me lol… Thanks anyhow
There’s one in Siri’s books (SGD Singh The infernal guard trilogy) but not til books 2&3 And they’re not romance books 🙂
Is there…??? I downloaded them… ??… Thanks
Yep… I highly recommend them 🙂
Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre
Read both… Looking for a new read… Thanks though ?
Mortal instruments?
Not a fan of her ??… Thanks anyway
The infernal devices
Not really a fan of hers… ?? Thanks anyway
Twilight series?
I can’t… I tried my best got to page 327 (I think) of Twilight and cannot read any further, my friend dragged me to see New Moon and when Cullen stepped out and sparkled like a diamond I was nearly lynched for complaining lol x
Haha I understand, luckily I’d read most of the books before the films and I’m glad I did ??
@Nicola your response was me and my husband ? still haven’t read them
Give me Blade any day ?
That’s us
Look up “The kind worth killing”. It has a love triangle in it but isn’t romance, its psychological thriller.
Ooooo I might have a look for that
By Peter Swanson
It’s one of those books that you don’t hear about until you do. Does that make sense? Like, it wasn’t highly publicized but I ran across it when I was perusing lists one day and saw it. Soooo good! I couldn’t stop reading.
I love finding books like that it’s so awesome
Sounds good, wow! Sounds like it might help with my reading slump!
Poldark has a love triangle but isn’t really romancy. I don’t like romances either but I enjoyed the first book
I keep meaning to watch Poldark and keep forgetting so maybe I’ll try the books
It’s a terrific show! Plus Aidan Turner is easy on the eyes?
I do like Aiden Turner… He was my favourite dwarf in The Hobbit lol and I’m trying to remember what else I loved him in but I can’t at the moment
Matched by Ally Condie (just give it a chance)
Thanks x
Matched is great series. I don’t understand all the hate behind it. Not the best series ever, but interesting
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Psychological thriller.
Girl On The Train by Pauline Hawkins.
GOTT is a good one.
I’ve read Girl on the Train so am looking for something I haven’t read yet and literally couldn’t read Gone Girl I think I stopped at chapter 3 as I wanted to throw the book at something… Surprising because I like her other books x
Try the fallen series, kind of a love story but enough of a story outside it to make it good
Far from the madding crowd is another good one!
I never think of classics… I should really ????
I recommended it because it has tragedy ?
@Nicola here’s a classic for you then Daphne du Maurier’s “Rebecca”
Been meaning to read that for years
Before I Go To Sleep by SJ Watson also has a love triangle and isn’t romance
Using this for a different prompt lol and have just reserved your first suggestion in the library
Sense and sensibility or Ruby Red (a fantasy YA book series and it’s really funny and witty there is also TIME TRAVEL!) ?
Read S&S and am using Ruby Red for a time travel prompt ?
Oh oh NEED BY CARRIE JONES! Norse mythology and fun characters that one is also a series and very short it’s awesome =)
Ruby Red doesn’t have a love triangle, Gwendolyn loved only one guy through all 3 books
Yeah, buuuut… I don’t wanna give anything away but there is the cousin that makes life hard ya know?
Oh yeah, I never considered her rival in love ?
I can respect that hahaha!
I really enjoyed the Shadow Fall series by CC Hunter, no romance lover her either, but I highly enjoyed the books! (Have yet to read the last two, but the first three were awesome!)
Never heard of them I’ll look into it
2 dogs and a cat that all loved each other. The Incredible Journey.
I’ve seen the movie but not read it
Hunger games, divergent… most ya lol
Im finding that’s the problem as I’ve read most YA and always like to read new books unless the prompt says otherwise haha
Ah umm have you read the ACOTAR books?
No but I’m using them for another prompt… I do too many challenges haha
Oh lol x
Do you want YA or is outside that okay ?
Whatever really… Every time I think love triangle I think romance and my brain shuts down lol… So I’ll take anything x
Have you read Anita Blake vampire hunter series ? It gets really adult a few books in but the beginning of the series has a love triangle. It’s pretty fantasy but the first 5 books or so were good.
I’m coming to a realisation that I do too many reading challenges as I’m either using the books suggested or I’ve already read them for other prompts haha
Well, this might be a bit self-serving, but I did write a book that has a love triangle in it, but is mostly action. This link let’s you review the first few pages if you want to read some of it.

Pushing your own book… ??? (Jokes) … I love trying new things so I will check it out whether I read it for the prompt or not I will try to read it Xx
@Nicola – I know, I suck for self-marketing. Lolz
Downloaded a sample… If I don’t use it I’m gonna use January 2018 as a I’m Obsessed Author month so I can catch up with all that have been suggested x
@Nicola– Holy Snapple! Awesome!
I’ll buy when I get paid then x
@Nicola – I hope you’ll like it.
Wuthering Heights (anyone who says it’s a romance has either not read it or not understood it)
Have to read this again for my damn uni! ???
Read it lol
Dystopia with a love triangle?literally nearly every dystopia has one x
The stephanie plum series by Janet evanovich or the hannah swenson series by joanne fluke. they are cozy mysteries but both have love triangles
They are pretty funny
The Arcana Chronicles
Harry Potter has a love triangle ……
If you like the Stephanie Plum series you could use on those? Her/Ranger/Morelli are a triangle of sorts
They have it other genres. I write Supernatural Horror Crime Fiction and I have a love triangle in one of my books
Which book… If I don’t read it now I’ll add it to my I’m Not Obsessed Authors month in January lol x

Thanks, Nicola.
Just downloaded a sample will buy when I get paid x
Awesome.
How about “The Hunger Games”? Or “Red Queen”?
Bram Stroker’s Dracula.
This one!! Not romantic at all!! (Which disappointed me—because I LOVE romance!?)
Hunger games
Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith. Man, still one of my favorite authors to this day! I only read the original four when they first came out, haven’t read any of the newly added books to that series. Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. The Sowing Trilogy by K Makansi (dystopian with an interesting love triangle) Those are the first to pop into my head. ?
Try “Triangle” by Ellen Hopkins
Splintered series has a love triangle
Wuthering Heights, and a vast number of other classics. Far from the Madding Crowd by Hardy is another good one, though that might be a “quadrangle” since Bathsheba Everdene has THREE men in love with her.
Exactly! Although by the end of the book I was ready for Gabriel to leave her!
Preacher a graphic novel. Hunger games YA. Tess of the durbervilles. Shadow hunters YA ( mortal instruments is the boom )
The mortal instruments
The Katherine turner series by Tiffany snow! It’s more mystery and suspense but definitely has a live triangle
My FAVORITE!!! You are the first person I’ve seen here to name these books!!!
@Paola I LOVE the books! I couldn’t have chosen between the two!!
I’ve read them twice. In fact, I was going to recommend them to Nicola before I read ur comment!!
The is the Architect of Song. It’s a gothic ghost story about a deaf girl with a love triangle
Just read a fabulous book and interviewed the author.. titled Just Another Week In Suburbia by Melbourne author Les Zig…….
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
Such fun. I really enjoy all the Stephanie Plum books.

LoTR
Any Charlie Brown book with Peppermint Patty in it
The infernal devices series. I despise romance, but there is more action than romance in this series
The Story of O – but it’s pretty rough, tread lightly!
Twilight lol
War of the Fae
Laurell k Hamilton Anita Blake series.
Kim Harrison’s Rachel Morgan/Hollows books.
Kelly Armstrong’s bitten.
A. G. Howard’s splintered.
Outlander and Stephanie Plum series
One of Harry Dresden novels… 5 or 6 i think.
