We loved it, at the same time as we noted some stretches of credibility. Like naving to a store without having to see the streets and buildings. I wish navs were that good! Still, we both really enjoyed it start to finish. The book was different in many respects. But it was one of those reads that stuck with me.
I didn’t care for it. I couldn’t get on board with Sandra Bullock’s character. I found her cold & unfeeling. Could’ve just been me, though. Most everyone else has liked it.
Her character is cold and unfeeling — that’s why she lives alone and doesn’t go out in world and doesn’t give real names to the kids. Sometimes – for me- it’s hard to get into a character when the actor has been in a ton of other things
@Karen I thought it was a very different part for her as well. But refreshing to see her take on such a fierce role, after years of playing a soft silly/funny bunny.
@Cynthia True!! It took some time for me to see her character and not the funny bunny. After a while I finally stopped “seeing” the FBI agent/etc and saw only the character. So kudos to SB for that!
Mine was the same way. I thought it was neat, but my husband wasn’t impressed.
@Shaina I think the message was awesome.
The book was good
Same here. My husband thought it was too unbelievable at the end. I thought it was entertaining.
Book was better!
Is. The. Book. In. The. Librarys
My hubby and I both enjoyed it.
My whole family loved it.
i stopped half way in. I have bought the book. I think I’m gonna read it first, then try to watch again
We all loved it but the book is better!
I liked it too!
I loved it, watching it again tonight so hubby can see it too.
Ordered from Amazon-book arriving around Jan 10
Looking forward to reading it after all the great comments!

Watching it now. My husband is snoring! I’ll finish watching but won’t be reading the book.
I didn’t like it at all . It gave me the creeps. I think it was the blindfolds and the children that got to me!
The previews gave my boyfriend and I the creeps. We will not be watching it. And I won’t read the book either.
I liked it too. I think the hubs didn’t like it because it was more of a chick flick with Sandra Bullock in Mama Bear mode.
