Well I’ve just finished my current read and now I’m a total emotional wreck ?? damn these pregnancy hormones… what’s the last tearjerker you read?

What did you just finish reading? The last book that truly, truly got to me was Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson – I sobbed through the last like 60 pages of that.
I just finished reading Undone by Cat Clarke now trying to find a book to cheer me up a bit ? x
Me Before You had me in floods x
Same! X
The book thief
Ooh I haven’t read that yet; is it good?
Yea I recommend watching the movie too
The book is brilliant!
I shall move it up my never ending tbr pile ?
Me before you
I cried at that too… haven’t read the second one yet ? x
@Emmaa me either! I can’t bring myself to
I probably will soon though… it’s on my shelf staring at me begging me to read it ??
The nightingale
Don’t think I’ve read that yet
One of the best books I’ve read this year
I’ll look into it ?
It’s not really a tear jerker but I cried through the last few chapters of Tower of Dawn
Oh God I just started that yesterday.
It’s on my list! Just gotta finish the rest of the series first ?
I was so surprised. I love SJM stuff but I really wasn’t that excited to read this particular book for reasons I won’t go into if you’ve not read the others. But I’m so glad I did I think it is in my top 3 fav SJM novels. ACOMAF being #1 and QoS and ToD vying for 2 and 3.
That’s rather exciting to hear. I’ve read just about everything by SJM at this point. I probably have some similar hesitance regarding this particular novel. Especially after the last one.
I was very hesitant. I didn’t want my SJM love to diminish but ToD really hit close to home for me. By 70 pages in I was reading nonstop. I love all the new characters. Yrene is a joy to discover. Nesryn finally gets more fleshed out. The Chaol stuff gets better for sure. But mostly it was how SJM approaches healing/wholeness that spoke to me.
I’m actually right at 60 pages and I can tell the pace is already picking up. I’m off tomorrow so I’m hoping for many hours of just non-stop reading. Wee! That’s super cool to hear, and I’m certainly intrigued by all of that. But by the sounds of it I also fear it’s going to hit me hard in the feels.
The Problem With Forever by Jennifer L Armentrout really had me feeling things and got me good ???
Ooh I like her books ? ? might check that one out
YA but still…Lord of shadows killed me
Me too
@Felicia who’s your fav character from TDA? ?
@Shaden Definitely Kieran Hunter. Especially with the development we get to see in Lord of Shadows. There’s just something about him that I really connect with, and I find him rather fascinating.
How about you?
I’ve still got to read Lady Midnight first ? aha
Not a traditional tear jerker, but, “The Hate U Give” had me in tears knowing the state of society today.
Heartless by Marissa Meyer and Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas
Oh no they’re on my tbr list XD
Omg girl… I feel you so hard right now. Pregnancy has got me crying at everything. Reading books I’ve already read will ruin my day.
My emotions are literally all over the place XD
Haven’t heard of that one; might have to look into it ?
Heartless by merissa Meyer
Me too!
@Felicia aww?that one wrecked me for a couple days
@Amanda Oh for sure. I had some serious book slump after that. It was just so so heart breaking, and let’s just say ALL THE FEELS.
Oh dear that’s on my reading list too ? x
@Emmaa it was one of my favorite reads this year…amazing book ❤️ just keep some chocolate and tissues near ?
I think I’ll have to! Got next week off work so hopefully I’ll get around to reading it ?
