you’re not alone! I hate that too. It seems lazy. Like, if I wanted that image, I would have watched the movie not be here trying to read the book…

They did that to the vampire academy books. I mean the covers weren’t great to start with… but I was devastated they put the movie print on the books, mainly because I didn’t enjoy the movie at all compared to the books!

I hate the half naked people making out covers. I will judge the book by the cover.

Glad I’m not alone. I’m not picky but it’s my biggest bookish pet peeve. It’s something I’ve never seen anyone talk about

Same. Like for me, as an avid reader, I don’t like seeing the cover of a book in a major motion picture like I just didn’t care. Sometimes I really get annoyed whenever I look for a certain book, like the original one and then saw nothing but a new copy of it with a different cover.

I mainly read ya and most ya movies fail so everytime I look at a beloved book, I am reminded of this failure of a movie. Plus, why would I wanna see a picture of some famous person on my book?

Idk I love the movies too and the actors/actresses. I got the tv show cover of “You” with Penn Badgley on it ?

Pamela

I’ll never understand why it matters as the story inside is much more important to me..but to each their own ??

I always wonder if the movie is true to the book. Many of them aren’t. But occasionally they are a surprise!

@Sue like Harry Potter. My mom and I think they are the closest movies to their books

I think john green said it best. But, they really cant be 100 percent accurate since its different platforms but too many movies change things that aren’t necessary
