I love the book, it’s a definite favourite Marlam, I read the book before seeing the film, the film does do the book justice but I think the book is better, hope that helps??
I just read the book and then watched the movie. I thought the book was much better- there was more substance regarding Gary and some other things. The book does seem to pad a bit of it to get to 200 pages, a little seemed repetitious regarding what Malorie is thinking. The movie cut out some of the substance in favor of a romance later on that didn’t happen in the book although it wasn’t particularly developed in the movie. It’s a quick read.
I finished the book at like 5 am today. (Dec 31) and just watched the movie. I really can’t compare them. It is quite a bit different. I liked them both though. But I say read the book too.

Thanks I’ll definitely look out for the book now ?
@Marlam I hope you enjoy it, it’s a story that gets under your skin?
I personally wasn’t a fan of the book. But, I did enjoy the movie.
I had never heard of either book nor movie until I saw the trailer on Netflix a few days ago. The movie looks fantastic
The movie is good, Sandra Bullock is brilliant?
@Paula I LOVE Sandra Bullock ☺️
Tija Bates I like her too, she’s so different in ‘Bird Box’, a very powerful performance x
Yes it was very touching
I loved the book…
Both are good IMO.
I loved the book. Waiting for my husband to finish it so we can watch the movie together.
I thought the book was way better than the movie. The movies skims
over so much! It was super frustrating for me!
As daft as it sounds (apologies) the film gave me closure about one character, I think he got some kind of justice?

Haven’t seen the movie yet, but I read the book in one sitting ?
You don’t even get to see the creatures hunting them. Doesn’t seem worth it to me if we don’t even get to see the enemy
