Just read ā€œA Discovery of Witchesā€. Honestly, I think it’s more of a vampire series than a witches series ? it’s good, though.
Also, Anne Rice.

I loved it. Her latest one Time’s Convert is about vampires and is a stand alone from the trilogy.

I’ve just finished all souls trilogy- discovery of witches. Was so good I was a bit sad when it was finished. Need a new good book now…

She just released the story of Marcus, called Time’s Convert. It was really good. I think also part of a series

1
Elisabeth

@Chavi fantastic. Thank you….I’ll look it up x

1
Ann

@Chavi I’ve read mixed reviews on it. I loved the Discovery of witches trilogy

0
Chavi

@Ann I liked it. It wasn’t as good as the trilogy but I enjoyed it. Now that I watched the first season of the TV series, I can’t visualize Marcus the way I imagined him to be when I read the series. They portrayed him so differently than I imagined… I can’t wait for the second season, although they packed WAY too much into each episode. Only 10 episodes for that first book… Too little in my opinion

0
Sarah

@Elisabeth Have you seen the show yet?

0
Elisabeth

@Sarah I have but I’m not a fan of the show…..think my imagination has created the characters completely differently to the casting agent!!

I’ll second Anita Blake Vampire Hunter & Anne Rice. Could not get into the Morganville Vampires or Vampire Academy. I liked House of Night for a long while but then they got too weird. They are for teens so a bit young. Loved Twilight which is also young and more love story than Vampire. I liked A Shade of Vampire series but it too is very young adult and it also got weird. I liked the first Discovery of Witches book but can’t get into the second. Vampire Diaries also young but good. I’ve read so many others that I can’t remember them all.

Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series. Very intertwined, still on going with almost books and young adult side series that ties in as well as a sort of historical fiction series that ties in but isn’t necessary for the main story line but does reveal tidbits about characters in the main story line. It’s a huge, fantastic world I can’t get enough of.
