I loved reading her books back in the day. They’re like soap operas lol. But she only wrote a handful of her books, a lot of books were written in her name after her death. Have you read any yet?
I loved them when I was like 14 they really are like mini soap operas lol I tried reading them again recently and just can’t pick up the pace of them again. I still have them all lol as you can see.
My mom has them all so I found them really young and devoured them. Now I reread them all the time!! It’s such a nostalgic feeling for me. I’ll always love vc.
I absolutely devoured them when I was a teenager, and now at 41, I’ll confess that the occasional reread of the Flowers in the Attic series is still a guilty pleasure LOL
A ghost writer… She left a lot of unfinished work behind and he worked with that. Although it’s been many years since she passed so I’m not sure if he uses any of her work anymore?

I’ve read the Flowers in the attic. I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! So I plan to read the Dollenganger saga and I’m reading Ruby 🙂
I’ve read both series and liked them. Happy reading!

I don’t think they are like soap operas :O But nice collection 🙂
@Aux what do they seem to you? And thanks I picked up a few repeats at thrift stores but eh they were eerie tragic little stories lol
I think they are more thought provoking 😀
@Aux very cool! I will try to read them again when I get a chance.
I have read vc since I was little. Always love going back and reading those books. So sad but so good!
Heaven is my favorite. The casteel series!! And ruby!!
I’m reading Ruby now… I love the translation and the style of her books 🙂

I’ve never read them when I was a teenager. I bought the set for my young teen and I want to read them before she does
I suggest you do!
Flowers in the Attic ??
To be honest, I liked the ones I read when she was alive and writing them, but afterwards they seem more like soap operas.
I loved reading when she was alive. but, the other writers did not fill my void after her death.
After she died someone writes books with her name?

tks for the info.
I had no idea!
I think she died in the 80’s? I can’t remember
After she died, the books he wrote were listed under The New Virginia Andrews but I don’t know if they still do that?
Love vc andrews. The casteel series (heaven) or landry series (ruby) are great.
Not a huge fan but they are not terrible. Like @Soniya said its like a soap opera and that never really was my thing
i like the old ones for an easy read – soap opera is a great way to put it! My Sweet Audrina is one of my favorites!
The old ones are the best. But after she died, they weren’t the best
I loved Flowers In The Attic and have read most of that series although I do have a lot VC Andrews books in my collection.
Read a very long time ago. They were good but they are not something I would read today.
Good.
Three words: Trashy Guilty Pleasure ??
