I read it a couple months ago and loved it!
I liked it… there were a few things I had issues with it
I have! I loved it
I liked it. I wasn’t expecting to but I read it in one night.
What about the sister relationship? I found it frustrating..
Same. I did not like her sister at all. I thought she was super selfish for most of the book.
I’ve read both Upside & Simon vs the Homo Sapiens agenda. I think Simon vs is the better book. I liked Upside but I think it had way too many side characters + it seemed to be trying to tick all the boxes on a social issues check list rather than focusing on character & plot development. I would have liked less side characters, less issues thrown in & more focus on the sister relationship & the love story (the boy was hardly in the book). I found the sister (Cassie??) to be manipulative & self centred…. Or maybe she was just underwritten & lost in amongst the 50 side characters? It is hard to say for sure. I liked the book but enjoyed Simon much more.
COMPLETELY AGREE with this!! It started off so well and then certain issues were annoyingly repetitive. I was like “OK, I GET IT!”
Not r ad but need to read it
Loved it. Completely loved it. Cried too.
I really liked it too.
I also had issues with it. While I liked it for the most part I foubd her sister to be completely overbearing and pushy. Especially the end where the MC apologized for everything between them and her sister didn’t reciprocate the apology.
I just finished this one and I really enjoyed it. Her writing style was unique and I felt like it was what my inner voice would sound like. Lol.
It was very good
I really liked the characters but wished the plot was different so I could get to know them better
It was super cute and super relatable !
I loved it, but I did find myself getting frustrated with her sister too!
I really liked the mother characters. They were awesome.
