I didn’t really care for it, but most people love it.
It is super slow at the beginning but I really enjoyed it. Stick with it.

I wasn’t a fan of it at all. I kept waiting for it to get better then it did just a little bit and then ended ?♀️ I listened to it on audio though. It took more than a month to get through it bc I kept having to replay parts from losing interest.
Just when it got better the book ended. Definitely do not recommend.

It gets better! The beginning and middle are slooooow but the ending you’ll totally blow through.

I feel ya! I DNF which surprised me. I love WWII historical and I love Saint Malo, but I could not get into it.
Same thing with me. I remember almost falling asleep when I read it. (To be fair I had pulled an all nighter) I figured its the kind if book I should read when I’m more aeake or can focus on it

I honestly had so much trouble getting into this story, but it definitely does catch interest as you continue. But I would say it didn’t capture me until the ending.

I started it a few years ago and gave up about 40 pages in. I wanted so badly to like it but just couldn’t push through it.
