I really had to will myself to keep going with it, as I got bogged down with the sci-fi setting (I know), the presentation of philosophy, and the slow pace–but I did finish it and found it memorable! So, worth it 😉
I have also found it difficult to get through and took a long break from it. I am determined to finish it.

Tried and failed multiple times. Finally gave up!
Dune is one of my favs, but it is a bit difficult to get through. Worth the read.

There’s also a mini-series from 10-15 years ago which follows the book more closely than the movie.

Read it as a teenager (devoured, really). My teen years were all sci fi, all the time. ?
clearly you need more spice.
