@Kyle you aren’t ever supposed to read TID first. City of Bones always comes first.
Well there are two ways of reading
you could go with the order of publication (CoB, CoA, CoG, CA, CoFA, CP, CoLS, CP2, CoHF) which is the BEST way to go
But if youre going to binge a series, it’s best i think to binge TID first before TMI to avoid spoilers in general
TID gives spoilers too. Cassandra Clare says it’s always best to read TMI first if you don’t want to go in publication order.
@Kyle I don’t agree! The correct order is The Mortal Instruments, then The Infernal Devices. If you wanted to you could perhaps read TID before CoHF but it’s not necessary I don’t think.

welp Cassie said herself in an interview with emmmabooks that the best way to read is in publication order but a lot of people wanna read a full story before reading another series. In that case she recommends TMI, TID, TDA. But I guess, what Hannah said is right since CoHF spoils CP2 for you so it’s best to read that before CoHF, i think haha.
But the BEST way, as Cassie said herself is publication order.
But it all depends on people and their preferences, I guess. hehe this is just mine.

You can totally read TID after TMI. In fact, Cassie said that TMI are the series to read FIRST.

Mortal instruments, but halfway through the series u need to rest the clockwork series, to understand who some of the new characters are and their importance. Then u can read the dark artifact series. Takes place after the mortal instruments. Sorry I really love this series
@Katerina you can read TID before COHF. As long as you read it there, you won’t spoil anything.
@Hannah yep! That’s the easiest. Alternatively, my favourite way is to read in publication order, if you can manage to pop in and out of series without losing focus.
