Just out of curiosity, and I don’t mean this negative in any way… Why do you enjoy reading something that’s going to make you cry? What about this appeals to you? Do you only read “happy cry” books, or are these “sad cry” books?

Disclaimer: We are, each and every one of us, unique. No matter what you read, if you enjoy it, I say More Power To You! (Being someone who prefers to not read emotionally charged books, I’m really just curious about the appeal. ?)

If something makes me cry it has touched me in some way.

When I read a book I expect to laugh, cry, sweat, get angry and sigh with pleasing satisfaction. If I just wanted to add to my edu I’d read a non-fiction and if I just want to laugh I’d read a funny comic book.

I love books that make me feel, happy or sad. Sometimes a good cry reading helps me get through days without crying. I’m a very emotionally charged person.

Sometimes books will make me cry, but it is probably what I needed. It puts things in perspective and reminds me that I have to stop stressing over little things.

Well I do have to admit commercials make me cry too.

This book did not make me cry. However, it did open up a world of amazing, courageous sisters that approached an impossible situation with strength and ingenuity and helped others in a time when many others did not.

This is why I particularly love historical fiction. Many parts of history are heartbreaking but need to be voiced by amazing authors so that we don’t forget.
