Hahaha. Any reason behind it?

I liked the story, but not the way it was told. I didn’t like “Death” as the narrator.

Ah, yes I have heard about this perspective from few people.

Karen

I didn’t really like it either. The way it was written made it really hard to get into. Maybe I’m just spoiled because I’ve seen the amazingly well-done movie adaptation so many times. Lol

Wasn’t much of a fan. Took me three times to get thru it. Being from Death’s perspective through me off.

Absolutely loathed it from the first page. Gave up after I think chapters 4 or 5. Not worth the paper it’s written on.

Absolutely necessary reading in my opinion! It’s one of the best, most life like portraits of regular German people and what they struggled with during the Nazi era. Very compassionate, and shocking, and very much from a child’s perspective.
