It’s wonderful! I can see that some of it might be a bit gory, but the humanity, the description of 9/11 and the holocaust sites…. In short, the humanity of the book, plus the tight tight thriller that the book was, made it one of the best things I’ve read in the last few years!
Wow! I can’t say enough about this book! Not my usual read-but I could NOT put it down, the length was a bit daunting but the plot was so well written I just had to know what would happen next! I recommend it to everyone!
Amazing! as i was reading it I wondered how the author was able to write with enough description to create such an incredible mind movie with so many sub plots. Then I discovered he is in the movie industry and wrote one of the Mad Max movies. I am pilgrim is showing up in IMDB.
@Gina From Goodreads…..A breakneck race against time…and an implacable enemy. An anonymous young woman murdered in a run-down hotel, all identifying characteristics dissolved by acid. A father publicly beheaded in the blistering heat of a Saudi Arabian public square. A notorious Syrian biotech expert found eyeless in a Damascus junkyard. Smoldering human remains on a remote mountainside in Afghanistan. A flawless plot to commit an appalling crime against humanity. One path links them all, and only one man can make the journey. I love LOVE all the fab suggestions on here ?my TBR list grows longer every day! 3 favourites books from this year have definitely been A Man Called Ove, I am Pilgrim & Heart’s Invisible Furies ?? all amazing in their own way.
I started it once… left it… read another book then went back to it. I’d borrowed it from a friend’s hubby so I think that spurred me on to read it. Once I’d read the first few chapters I was gripped. This happened when I read The Book Thief years ago too for some reason. Depends on when I start reading a book I think. If it’s late in bed and I’m tired then that’s not the best time for me to start something new ?
I loved it! The first half was a bit slower but the second half really takes off. Very interesting book?
One of the best books I’ve ever read. I’ve recommended it to friends and they agreed.

Glad I read it. Took me a while but worth it. Stay with it.
I just started it, bit I already like it a lot. It is so different from your usual spy thriller. The writing is amazing
I am probably one of the few who did not like it. I found the main character to be arrogant and annoying and the whole thing implausible.
@Sandy I agree with you. Not a bad book but I cannot say I enjoyed it!
Loved the book. Could not put it down
What’s it about?
