I loved it a lot. It was my first Murakami and now I have at least 10 of his books! Definitely worth a read in my opinion

Ooh this is on my shelf waiting to be read. What did you enjoy about it?

I have to admit the only other one I’ve read is Kafka on the Shore, though it was absolutely brilliant ?

I think it will be good, but I’ve had a little trouble getting into it. My favorite Murakami novels so far are Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage, and Kafka on the Shore.

I like his other books way better. There were a few sex scenes that profoundly disturbed me in 1q84. (I would explain more but I really can’t without spoilers.) but of course, your mileage may vary!

I enjoyed it so much. I was very impressed with the way Murakami writes women in 1Q84. It felt like here was a man, not afraid of writing women as they are and really getting them. The story is wonderfully told and will take you to surprising places. I thought I had it figured out and suddenly everything went tipsy-turvy and the writing took things in directions that I didn’t see coming. The characters are wonderful. The sex scenes are not in there as gratituous porn scenes, they make sense and they add to the story. Have a fun read!

It’s the weirdest and longest thing i read in my life. It doesn’t answer questions and there are way too many descriptions of titties n pubic hair. N i love titties!
