I love Neil Gaiman’s books! I’ve read only four of them so far, but they are amazing!
They are amazing.
What do you typically enjoy , because I feel like he has such a range?
I find he’s incredibly over hyped, but still worth reading.
I liked Coraline and The Graveyard Book by him.
I love him, I would read a phone book if he wrote it.
Ditto
LOL, especially if he narrated it.
I think he’s over rated tbh..
Love him!
I love his stuff
Absolutely! I’ve read 90% of his books and now I’m saving the rest for special occasions. I’ve loved them all even those aimed for a younger audience ?
YES!! I have read American Gods and The Ocean at the End of the Lane; both were phenomenal!
Read a few of his books they are worth a read
Most definitely worth a try!! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the books of his that I’ve read!
He’s my favorite! I also love listening to him read his books. He has such a lovely voice!
I love his books.
That being said you won’t know if you like his writing style until you try one. The fact that you’re thinking about it means somewhere in your head the idea is stuck and won’t shake loose until you try. May I suggest Good Omens, The graveyard book or one of his books of short stories to start with.
Smoke and Mirrors was my first and I loved it. I loved Fragile Things even more.
Neverwhere though❤.
I really am having thoughts so maybe you are absolutely right. I’ve been thinking about it for weeks ?
Neil Gaiman ROCKS!!!!
ABSOLUTELY YES!!!!! <3 <3 <3
Yes they are…. I have yet to read anything of his, that I did not like.
Youtube “click clack the rattlebag”…. it is read by him.
That story features in his book Trigger Warning, i loved it!
Yes to both ?
Another fan here ?
He’s magic!
He’s phenomenal
I love Neil Gaiman’s books!
Read Neverwhere, Good Omens and American Gods. I liked all 3.
If you are a Gaiman novice, start with GOOD OMENS or NEVERWHERE…
I’ve read three of his and liked all of them. Good Omens was hilarious.
Yes
YES. Neverwhere and Stardust are good ones to start with. Then maybe American Gods and Anansi Boys.
What is Anansi Boys all about?
@Jolly It’s about the spider god Anansi and his sons. Anansi is also a character in American Gods.
Oh, I see. At least I’ll have a glimpse of it before I start turning its pages. ?
Definitely! He’s a genius.
Categorically, yes
Yes, definitely.
I personally am not a huge fan of most of them. I did love Coraline, Neverwhere and The Graveyard Book, though.
I am a big fan. I didn’t enjoy Norse Mythology as much as the rest, but would wholeheartedly endorse any of the others. Neverwhere was probably my favorite.
Yes!!!!
Read them all !
My daughter has just about everything he has ever written, she loves him. She went to a book reading and signing by him also, said he is an amazing person.
How adorable ❤
He is okay
Yes yes yes!!!
Some are good, and some are awful. I love American Gods but hated Neverwhere and Stardust. The movie of Stardust is one of my favorites, though.
Yes
I’ve loved the 4 of his books I’ve read/listened to so far.
Yes yes yes
I love Stardust…though I prefer the movie solely because Henry Cavill is in it…and I’m really enjoying American Gods.
Now I am excited. ? How about Anansi Boys, have you read it?
@Jolly Not yet, but I did have it recommended to me years ago by the same person who told me to read Dune, which I loved, so I’m sure I’ll love it when I get to it.
Then maybe it’s as good as the one that person recommend you. Now I’m looking forward to it. Thanks!! ??
@Jolly I hope you like the one you end up picking 🙂
I ? Gaiman’s work, and have for 30 years. But he’s not everyone’s cup of tea
I agree to that. That is why I had trouble asking for the advices from the people around me because they are not very familiar to him.
Eh, every book I’ve tried to read by him has failed to pull me in. But everyone’s different so just try him and see
As much as the saying goes “You will never know if you will never try.” Thanks!!!
He’s one of my favorites.
I loved Norse Mythology
Care to share knowledge on that
@Spencer I’m not sure I follow. I listened to Gaiman’s audiobook Norse Mythology and it was really good.
Spencer: Neil Gaiman did at re-telling of the stories that make up norse mythology.
The book is called “Norse mythology”.
Ok I think I will give it a try.
Can you add me up ?
Add up?
Yeeees! Never where is my favorite. Stardust is good too. His book on Norse mythology is great. Good Omens, which he wrote with Terry Pratchett, is hilarious!
I recently read the Ocean At The End Of The Lane. I enjoyed it a lot but his style of writing is a little unusual for me. I would like to read more of his novels.
I’ve read 4 of his books so far and I’ve liked them all.
They’re amazing, I finished good omens yesterday and it’s a gem of a book ?
Ocean at the end of the Lane is of his most recent books and I thought it was terrrrrible
His novels and graphic novels are very, good. He also reads his own audio books and is fantastic at it.
I read a few of them this past year, and I really liked Stardust. American Gods and Anansi Boys were very well written as well.
Certainly worth reading – you just have to find the type you’d enjoy 🙂
I love 😀
I read and loved Norse Mythology. My next read will be Neverwhere
THEY ARE!
Yes!
I enjoyed his book i read norse mythology
I’ve been reading his books since I was 8. There are very few people I would recommend as highly as him
Yes! I’ve read Stardust and I recently started NeverWhere and it’s super cool.
Absolutely! Love Neil Gaiman! <3
