Thirteen reasons why
Was a hard read, mentally.
The t.v. show was a harder watch.
I would suggest it to those who have it in their tbr pile
One of the few things I watched before I read…I dont think I could get through the books…soooooo emotional
I listened & then I watched. I recommend both.
I read the book and it was a hard read emotionally. But it was good. Have yet to watch but want to eventually
Bethany Downs-Cousino I dont regret watching it…I guess, having my own children close to and older in age to these kids …a hard subject but definitely relevant
@Shannon the books and show make you think. There is so much more than just the bullying. It can happen to any age. My father ran off and took his own life one month ago. I probably should not have read and watched so soon but they are both good
The show can be even harder. In the show they give each person depth with a back story. You see the emotions of the one she effected besides clay
The last show of season 2 was disturbing!!!
Unpopular opinion here, but I wasn’t a fan of the book, and didn’t care to watch the show. What Light by the same author was pretty good though.
I thought the book was “okay.”
I was mentally exhausted and I couldn’t sleep for a couple of days after reading the book and watching th tv show
The book was alright. I definitely did not find it hard to read. I havent watched the show. I probably wont.
@Kelly it was easy as in its a ya book but mentally hard as in topic
I knew what you meant. It just wasnt mentally hard for me.
I could not get into the show no matter how hard I tried. I just could not put the book to the show. I think it should have just stayed a book.
My thoughts exactly.
I read it back in 2011. A hard, hard read. Show was even worse. People should just stick to the book. The show has many things wrong with it.
