Bought it for $1:00 at hospital book shop. It was highly recommended by a friend . When I saw it on the shelf I grabbed it. Reading it now ~ I can tell that this book will be an indelible memory, loving it !
Nope, it’s an insult to the culture. Read Geisha, A Life by Mineko Iwasaki an actual memoir from a geisha.
I’ve read it probably 10 times now, and each time I pick up on new details I missed before. I LOVE this book!
