Audible maybe? I always see it advertised.
I looked at that one, but some reviews say it cost a lot???
I’d assume it varies on what you get versus a flat fee every month. But I don’t buy audiobooks.

If you want to try for free before paying for them. I use Overdrive app, (which I believe is available on Android) and borrow audio books from the library.
I love overdrive and use it on an Android phone.
I cannot recommend this enough – 60 day free trial, unlimited, bestseller and obscure audiobooks of every genre, tons and tons of ebooks too, easy app, it’s brilliant!!

$8.99 a month – which, when you consider you keep books (audio and ebooks) for an unlimited amount of time and can read/listen to as many as you’d like from lists of bestsellers and all… it’s kinda worth it.
Also, I’ve legit gotten 3 months free so far recommending it to friends who’ve signed up after thair 60day free trials.
Plus… I may or may not have once, in a huge financial bind, made secondary emails to use that free trial. >.>

I have audible, which is driven by Amazon. Of course. Amazon is taking over the world. The monthly fee is $15 and you get one credit per month (i.e. one audiobook of your choice regardless of price per month) and a reduced rate on all auidobooks. It’s easy to cancel if you don’t like it and you keep whatever books you’ve downloaded. I love it. I have it hooked through my car via bluetooth and it’s awesome not having to change CDs.

Libby is the easier to use Overdrive app (they are the same company), and many libraries subscribe to that service so audiobooks are free to users
Libby didn’t work for me. It didn’t want to download the books. It wanted to stream which of course uses your data if you are not home on wifi.
hmmm…that is strange! If you went into your shelf, clicked on a title, it didnt give you the option to download? I have mine auto set to download?
It kept saying download fail try again later then it said Stream?
Did you try closing out of the app and restarting the device? It’s funny, but restarting can solve so many problems with phones and tablets….Or maybe it is a space issue? Not enough space to download the book?
I went back to overdrive and it works great.
Audible really isn’t worth it. I don’t know what other apps there are, but I honestly can’t understand why people rave about Audible.
I love it. Great book choices. This month 3 books for 2 credits.
For £7.99 you get one credit a month. One book. You’re paying that for one book, every month. No thanks ? that’s the price of Netflix for a month, and they even offer a free month.
And whatever book you get with that credit it matters not how much it normally costs. It’s not for everyone, I get it. I’ve been a customer of Netflix for ages and not once received a free month. I have gotten free books from Audible. And books at discounted prices.

I have a Scrib’d account, which contains audio books as well as print material. I mostly got it for sheet music for my students, but I enjoy looking for books that the library doesn’t carry, or has on a waiting list. (I have no patience for the wait lists. Usually by the time to book makes it to me, I’m not in the mood anymore.)
I think you can get a free trial of audible. I did this and decided quite quickly that I didn’t like audio books. I felt sort of not taking part as I wasn’t reading it if that makes sense… So I would say try it first before paying out
I only listen while I walk and sometimes will cleaning the house
I just want something I can listen to while driving, or cleaning, and laying in bed cuz the husband doesnt like having a light on while he’s trying to sleep ?
I like audio books while cleaning the house or when I’m at the sewing machine.
These sound like good ideas to use audio books ?

If your library offers Hoopla, use it! That’s how I have “read” a lot of books this year.
