Yes for sure! I loved it. Its like game of thrones and harry potter combined. The only thing is the third book is still not out and it could be a while until it is.
I wasn’t too impressed with it, myself. At least not as much as I expected. Still a great book, though. Everybody else loved it so I guess it was just me lol.
I would wait I’ve read it and liked it as well as the second book but he has not released book 3 5 plus years now. I would discourage reading it until it’s out unless you want to be mad lol
Ugh! I have tried reading this book 3 times. My friends keep reccomending it to me. Maybe it’s just not the right time yet. Idk, but I just can’t get into it.
I liked it well enough to read all available in the series. I didn’t think it was the best thing ever like a lot of people do, but certainly enough to put in the time to read 2 fat books.
the caliber of this writing! i just love the first two and agree with all the other comments above. every few months i go to Patrick’s site to see if maybe….. starting to think he and George Martin are just too buddy buddy and all….
YASSSS one of my favorite book(s) (also Wise Man’s Fear) ever! And a short story from one of the characters, A Slow Regard Of Silent things, is probably one if my top favorite books of all time. Absolutely beautiful. And heartbreaking. I’d definitely recommended! I ❤ Kvothe
Absolutely! I love it and the writing style is brilliant – he has an incredibly loyal and patient following, we’ve been waiting for the third book for 8 years now ? He finished it about 5 years ago and then stated he wasn’t happy with it and was starting again. Definitely give it a go.
Someone described this series as “Harry Potter with student loans”, which is not wrong, but I really enjoyed it anyway. Looking forward to the 3rd book.

Great book, but he is slooooow to finish the series. Think George RR Martin slow.

I really liked it, but I wouldn’t be in a rush. We’ve been waiting for the 3rd book for a while now (the 2nd was published in 2011)!
One of my all time favorites!!
I’ll probably have to read it and the second again before the third comes out. ?
@Ashley I’ve read them both three times now. And Slow regard is brilliant
Definitely! It’s my all time favourite book.

I know a lot of people who swear by it, but I haven’t really had a chance to get into it myself
THE VERY BEST – if you don’t read it, you will question all of your life choices from now on…

I couldn’t finish it.
Fabulous!
Yep!
Loved it. Wish he’d hurry up with Book 3 though, the slacker.
I liked the first 2 quite a lot.
Yes, yes, and yes. All the best elements of fantasy, accompanied by beautiful prose.
I loved it and the second one too. But when oh when will we get the third book?! A good audio listen for long car trips if you need one!
I bought it used at the library book sale for a book club this year , it came highly recommended.
Yes, yes, yes and the one that follows it.
