I read the extended version and wish I would have read the edited which is 400 pages or so shorter. It just felt to me like most of the backstory was unnecessary. But the book was great.

I enjoyed the first half, but I disliked the rest. I think it’s a book you need a Christian background to enjoy–and I’m Jewish.

Fabulous, scary and eerie but worth it! Makes you think, too about the world we live in today. I’ve read it 3 or 4 times now

Get it, read it, love it. The uncut version is huge but a page turner, I sat up into the early hours finishing it by moonlight the first time I read it.

I would rent it from a library or borrow it. It takes a while to actually be absorbed into this book. It is very tedious but also very much worth it. Not really worth a buy but definitely worth the read. ( I hope that makes sense)
