…. if I hadn’t been under pressure to read it, I think I would have dumped it. There was an intriguing story in there somewhere but took some time getting there.
That’s why I hate book clubs… when I joined one I felt like I was back at school!
Me too! It spoiled reading for me. Gave it up after 3 or 4 books.

I really liked it. But. It kept going on and on with the same thing, over and over, and didn‘t seem to get anywhere. I put it down 2/3 of the way through and never picked it up again.

It’s one of my favorite books, it starts out slow and I almost gave up on it, but I stuck with it and it’s a very beautiful book
