I have yet to be disappointed by a Khaled Hosseini novel. Not my usual go to subject matter, but he has an incredible voice and is an impeccable storyteller. Books are packed with so much emotion. I can’t recommend his writings enough.
It was a great book but somewhat difficult. I feel that I gained a lot of knowledge about the history of the region and how it shaped individual lives.

Rollercoaster of emotions, makes you think you can maneuver through Kabul if it comes down to it.
Parts of it are hard to read, but it’s an amazing story, well-written, and really just phenomenal.
I start teaching it to my high school juniors next week. One of my top 5 favorite novels!
