Yes! I loved it

I have it and love it. Wished they would have had the film playing somewhere near me but only 50 cities across America played it.

JessicaQuestion author

Is it gonna hit theatres that you know of?

0
Eva

Not in the close area. Closest is over an hour away and would have to find a sitter and all so I doubt I will be able to see it until it’s released on dvd or available for stream.

0
Jen

I saw it Thursday night. It was excellent!

0
Eva

That’s awesome! I’m more excited now.

One of my favorites of Ann Rule’s.

1
Rebecca

@Lisa I grew up where these people did.

2
Lisa

Oh really? How interesting @Rebecca. Did you ever see the tree house scurlock built?

0
Rebecca

@Lisa No, I believe that was in Washington state or Oregon, where they did their bank robberies. I have been by the sculptor’s studio in Great Falls, VA, where I lived as a child. Scurlock grew up in Reston, which was minutes away from me. I can’t remember why they went so far away to rob banks. It has been years since I’ve read this, but it was such a great read.

2
Lisa

Yes, it’s a great read. I’d forgotten that scurlock was originally from Va. It has been awhile since I read it. lol
It’s been one of my favorites of Ann’s ever since I read it.

1
Rebecca

@Lisa Mine, too and I have read many of her books.

1
Lisa

So do I. lol
Her books are ones that I’ll read over n over again.

0
Juliana

I can’t remember why they went so far away to Rob banks either..but that book really was interesting..so bizarre ! For some reason ,Spokane ,Washington is coming to me ?

2
Rebecca

@Juliana I think you are right

2
Lisa

I think they didn’t want to hit banks to close to home.

0
Rebecca

@Lisa that could have been it, they had a connection in Washington, not sure what

1
Juliana

Yeah..I’m thinking for some reason..a woman ,school ,etc. Spurlock had been out there a little while.

0
Juliana

Somebody dig up the book..lololol..I gave mine away awhile back !

0
Lisa

I think one of the boys was from around there. They met in Hawaii and wound up in Washington State.

2
Juliana

@Lisa..you’ve got to say you’re from NORTH CAROLINA..it’s not just you and I on here..lolol lmao

1
Kathy

I’ve read a lot of Ann Rule books but apparently missed this one…you got me interested now being a VA girl with relatives that lived in Spokane. Must read this! lol

1
Rebecca

@Kathy It was so good. I won’t spoil the ending for you, but it was a really good read, they went all out in their robberies, wore prosthetic makeup. I think t was so intriguing for me because some of them grew up where I did.

1
Kathy

I’m going to buy it!

I have the Dating Game Killer…started it but didn’t finish. One of these days I will.

1
Angel

Why didn’t you finish it? You didn’t like it?

0
Kathy

It was okay…I’m usually a big true crime reader but I also read by my mood…you know sometimes I feel like I need something light or funny…so maybe it was just me. I keep saying I’m going to go back and read it but have read a lot more books – no true crime

1
Angel

I understand, It was the opposite for me, I just finished The Christmas Train and that was TOO light for me, not my normal read, I kind of hurried through it so I could dive into Dating game killer LOL

1
Angel

Christmas train was good tho. I try to read a holiday book every year 🙂

Now you got me thinking about going back to the book…hmmm lol

Midnight in the garden of Good and evil by Berendt is the best true crime I have ever read, hands down. It’s an older title, but a classic. Reads like a novel.
