The Journal of Helene Berr is about resisting the Nazis in German occupied Paris. The author was part of an organisation that helped save the lives of hundreds of Jewish children. However, since this was written by a contemporary at the time of the war, the author herself doesn’t really get into any detail about her actions. I believe it was a precaution in case she was captured and had her home searched through. There’s a whole bunch of books regarding a group called the White Rose that were made up of German citizens that fought Hitler.
