Well I’m read witch and wizard, it’s a 5 book series by James patterson… it’s a super easy read but really good!

I highly recommend Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It’s a dark, gothic, detailed, funny, long, Southern, adventurous, and magical Fantasy story. In this series, the female characters are not called witches. They are known as Casters.

Nothing much to add to all of these suggestions! Good stuff! I really liked the Discovery of Witches trilogy, and have read Practical Magic, Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, Nora Roberts’ O’Dwyer Cousins trilogy, and The Witching Hour. I would recommend any of these. Oh, and two more Nora Roberts trilogies, Three Sisters Island and The Guardians.

I feel like the books and the show went in two different directions. Both were good in their own way but definitely different

I was incredibly disappointed with The Discovery of Witches (if you like Twilight, you’ll probably like it) and the Beautiful Creatures series (I thought the movie did a way better job of the first book).

If you’re looking for non-fic, The Witches: Salem, 1692 by Stacy Schiff is fantastic, though a bit scholarly and very in-depth. Anything by Judika Illes is fabulous. Buckland and Cunningham are pretty friendly to all types.

For fiction, A Secret History of Witches by Louisa Morgan and The Witches of New York by Ami McKay were pretty good (and newer).

The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. It’s a very complex series about a magical elite, subjugated and underestimated. It also talks about how people beliefs could be change and how easy is to manipulate the masses giving them the sparkle of a false faith.

My favorite witchy series is Circle of three by Isobel Bird , has about 15 books but they are all easy reads. It’s a lot more realistic when it comes to paganism and wicca. They are out of print so you would have to get either an ebook or find a used copy on ebay, they are usually under $6 each.

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova, The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe, White is for Witching by Helen Oyeyemi, Brown Girl in the Ring by Nalo Hopkinson, When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore, The Witches of Eastwick by John Updike, The Graces by Laure Eve, The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden…..i also second the books of Alice Hoffman, especially Practical Magic and The Rules of Magic, and will add the books of Sarah Addison Allen, whose heroines tend to have a witchiness about them. i almost forgot! The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton!

I liked it and I need to read others in series. It was suspense and mysterious. There are witches, warlocks, guardian and demons. It is not romance, only fantasy mystery
