I think it’s just a fun, mindless read. I enjoyed it, but I read it when I was taking a break from some more intense books. If you aren’t into it, move on, but it takes a bit to get going.

I found the audio book was easier to listen to in the car then reading it. I do love the movie much better. Cuts out a lot of the crap and puts more oomph in the story.

Eh if there’s something else you want to read, I would. It’s just an ok story, and ok writing. It was entertaining for me to read about the cultural stuff but overall, I wouldn’t recommend. To many great books out there!

The books are very long with a lot of characters and stories to keep track of. I actually put the first one down and came back to it like a month later, pushed through it, and ended up really liking the book. It’s better than the movie IMO.
