you should probably start with the mortal instruments, then read the infernal devices and after that the dark artifices
The infernal devices is technically the first series was set in 1800’s then mortal instruments then dark artifices admittedly I read mortal instruments first however if I read them all through again I’d start with infernal devices

I second this order. For OP, the other following books are Lord of Shadows and Queen of Air and Darkness. The collection of short stories, Ghosts of the Shadow Market, can be read as e-books before Queen, but the print version with extra two stories taking place after Queen will be released in July iirc. The other book series, yet unreleased, are called…
The Eldest Curses – out this June, centered about a certain couple from TMI
The Last Hours – new generation of TID, children of main characters
The Wicked Powers – the final series, set 3 years after TDA, won’t be out for another 4 years ?

I would also recommend you read ghosts of the shadowmarket before starting queen of air and dakness as there are some important things there☺️ you still have a long way until you read qoaad but still!
It’s not necessary, all the important things are explained in qoaad. Many people are waiting for physical release of it, and if OP or someone prefers to read the book fully, then they should read it all after qoaad, since last 2 stories take place after the book.
@Faya yeah of course. If someone doesnt read it its okay since it doesnt really affect the story but it does help understand some things better. I say it because i did it that way and it made me understand better some things.
