I loved each one of them. I could not wait to get home from work each day to read – just 20 minutes or so before the cooking, cleaning etc all started.
None, I read all of them but in the end I thought they were overrated although they successfully generated a large number of new and keen readers. My opinion might be entirely different had I read them as a teenager though.
None. While I don’t regret reading them, I didn’t care for them. But I also think my age may have played a role as well. The ONLY time I will say I prefer the movies over the books…
I was younger when I was acquainted to the magic world so could be. I just have a special place for this series in my life. It is more than just a story for me.
Upasna Bassi I have not, but wasn’t interested. I was sick and the Harry Potter movies came on and I watched them. If I hadn’t been sick, I wouldn’t have seen the Harry Potter movies either.
I get that because the Prairie was a special magical place for me when I was younger. There is nothing wrong with loving a series so much. I do like HP, but not like others. Proud Hufflepuff here. ? But I was 25 when the first book was released. Having read the series (because of the movies) I can easily see why a young kid would love them. They were well written and they grew with the readers.
It isn’t a smack on the books or those who love them because my love for The Little House on the Prairie series rival the love Potterheads love The Harry Potter series…only I don’t have the luxury of having as much merchandise. ??
