“The Boleyn Inheritance”, Philippa Gregory, about Anne of Cleves, Jane Boleyn (surviving sister-in-law to Anne Boleyn) and Katherine Howard, great story about palace intrigue
@Tia, I’m nearly halfway through and it’s really good so far, the subject matter is shocking, and I’m ashamed to have not ever realised the gravity of what some people go through on a day to day basis.
@Tia, I’m about a third of the way through it. Some parts of it I really like, some parts are so-so. I’m kind of up-and-down about it but I’m gonna keep reading.
I’m finishing up Killing the Rising Sun by Bill O’Reilly. Then it’s on to Slobberknocker by Jim Ross. Then The Lose Your Belly Diet by Dr. Travis Stork, M.D.
I am starting this book: It’s a nice little novella. A change from the massive monsters that I’ve been reading. P.D. James The Black Tower dragged on so much, it felt like absolute torture to get through, but this book is nice. It’s a character study without getting into unnecessary detail.
1913: the Year Before the Storm, and The First World War: A Very Short Introduction. I’ll also skim The Great Influenza and see what else I can finish. Busy weekend ahead…
