this guy always in my mind and i still don’t know when i’m gonna read this book! this always happened to me

0
Stéphanie

It took me a while to start reading it. But this time, it’s on the right way.

0
Paul

I’ve tried several times to read “Moby Dick” over the years. Each time I get a little farther into it, each time I love the story and Mellville’s prose, and each time I eventually get exhausted by it, put it down, and don’t return to it until the next time I start over and try to read it. Can’t explain why.

1
Stéphanie

I’ve given up reading it in English. I’m reading it in French.

0
Sean

@Paul i read it last year and like you said the story is great but when he goes off on tangents about certain topics those parts aren’t as great and felt like I wanted to skip them to get back into the main plot

1
Paul

@Sean Yeah. I learned way more than I ever needed to know about cetacean classification…

1
Sean

@Paul ?? yeah exactly, good book but would have preferred it without those parts

I am 1/2 enjoying the Outlander series. I want to read it but I also want it to end. Too many chapters are just dry reading where I don’t know who the characters really are and I’m not interested enough to find out.

Right now I’m reading London Bridges by James Patterson. And also a Doc Savage novel. And also a modern western by a new author I’ve never heard of until yesterday. It’s called The Far Empty by J. Todd Scott. Very good so far.
