If and when I can. If possible, I like to read a good book while listening to some soft music with a good sandwich and a refreshing drink in the afternoon. In the morning, I’d like a coffee with a nice pastry. And in the evening, something light. Like a chilled green tea.
I typically read with coffee snuggled up in the corner of my sectional, with the tv on Pandora cuz it keeps my dogs calm. They get whiney if it’s too quiet.
Mostly no because first am more of a tea person and second I am super scared to spill my coffee or tea on my book so I usually avoid eating or drinking anything while I read. But at times I do cave in and have a cup of tea. If am reading an ebook though then no worries at all ?
I never really paired a book with food or drinks. Lol. I just read whenever and where ever. Also I don’t drink tea or coffee, so that may have something to do with it. 😛
Coffee or PG tips black tea daytime. Rooibos tea (which has no caffeine) for evenings, or when I am reading Alexander McCall Smith’s No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series — always crave it when Precious Ramotswe is having a potful. ?
Tea usually makes me go to sleep and my cat often sleeps with me, so I read her Charles Dickens, it relaxes her and she falls asleep, then I fall asleep.
Or a cuppa tea!
I usually don’t.

@Kelly oh I miss wine. Last year it started to make me sick so I don’t drink it anymore.

Sometimes or since I know I might accidentally spill some on my book.
Tea or a latté but only with my joco cup. It’s like a sippy for grown ups with a lid so it doesn’t spill. ?

I can’t, if I am reading for the pleasure of it (as opposed to reading a textbook or a report) I cannot bear interruptions, even for a drink.
Lady Grey Tea is my preference unless it’s alcohol!
