It’s been sitting on my shelf for like six months. I was gung ho to read it–and then my brother in law said the whole beginning dragged with the struggle with the main character’s alcoholism and I lost the motivation to read it (plus the movie looks good, so I got even lazier)

I read it last week. My friend loved the book and said the film ruined it for her.
I didn’t find it amazing but it’s a comfy read. (:

The books are always better though Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were great movies.

I will most likely just see the movie. Too much on my list as it is.

Yes, I have read this book. However, in my opinion, the film is far better!

Reading Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. Magic, evil dark lord, monsters that prey on human flesh, privateers and romance. It’s better than book 1. More action.

I just finished that. It’s so good! Now I’m on the waiting list for the third book to be available at the library.

I hated The Girl on the Train. I don’t know how I managed to finish it. All the characters are just awful people with little to no redeemable qualities. Only one character is actually a good person and she is just a minor character.

Agree!!! I feel like this is the very unpopular opinion but I couldn’t even finish it!
