Ursula Le Guin – the left hand of darkness. Was the first book of hers I read and while it took a few chapters to get into the writing style it was a really well written and thought provoking book ?

I loved earths children! The first one was amazing. But I did find the final one a bit meh. Can’t remember now why but my linger impression of painted caves is a bit shoulder shrugging.

Phillip Pullman, and I loved Raymond E Feist’s Empire series – such a fabulous female protagonist. Magician was also amazing and even more so because it was connected to the Empire series.

Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. I read them about 25 years ago and loved them all. I’m not usually into this type of book At All. I’m more of a mystery girl, but these were beautifully written.
