Someone told me that to be a Romance book it has to have a happy ever after ending…but surely Romance is the story of falling in love, relationships etc…and unfortunately life doesn’t always give us a happy ending.
I’m not sure I’ve ever read a romance. They always seemed a bit too flowery. I do however enjoy a romantic subplot. One I’ve read recently that is a thriller/romance is One Month In My Mind by Anna Keenan-Hill. It’s very British and quite qwerky and not a typical romance

There’s too much pigeon holing these days and trying to put a book in a particular genre when most books fit into a number of different ones x
Completely. I think the Contemporary Fiction category is getting fuller with books that are a bit of everything!
