Ok so I started with Assassins Apprentice. Then I wasn’t sure whether to go on to Tawny or Liveship. I decided to go with Tawny next bc from what I researched it was the best way to continue on from the events of AA (assasins Apprentice). It starts right where you leave off in Book 3 of AA. Now I’m reading Liveship and I am not upset with the order I chose. But everyone is different and some people prefer to go on to Liveship after AA. I personally couldn’t wait. I had to know what happens. And I don’t regret it. ? Hope this makes sense.
I did the same thing because I’m not a fan of nautical books. But later when Amber was mentioned and few other things it really threw me off until I read Liveships. And to be honest they probably my favorite set of books from that world.
@John that makes sense. I am on Book 1 of Liveship now and I’m starting to see some cool parallels. So I can see how it would have been good to wait but I’m still happy with how I did it. And I’ve heard many people say Liveship turned out to be their favorite. My experience with Hobbs books seems to be that I feel like each one I read is the best…until I read the next one. They just keep getting better and better. So it’s pretty much a win either way. ?
Yes! I had them for a few years before I got round to reading them properly. I then read every other series she’d written. My favourite series ever. Edit: The belgariad is also my favourite series. I can have 2 right?

I read the Liveship trilogy first (because someone bought me the first book of that series). I still liked it the best – don’t know if that’s why.
I read an article a while back that quoted George rr martin saying he thought robin hobb was the finest fantasy writer he knew of.
I’ve got the whole AA set, but never got past the first few chapters. Is it worth trying again?

I would definitely try again but I absolutely love these books. My husband on the other hand, did not love them as much.
What about this one? Is this a good one and separate from the others? I just got it from a second hand store.
it’s a separate series but i’ve heard a lot of good things about it recently.
be sure to read them in order
